When starting the mode, you’ll be placed inside a safehouse and given the choice to pick 1 of 8 syndicates to start your campaign run. You can see your campaign progress in the safehouse on the world map screen represented by small and large squares.
In the new Freelancer mode of Hitman: World of Assassination (previously known as Hitman 3), you take on randomly generated missions with no opportunity to save while having a limited arsenal. It’s the most challenging mode available and the fact that you lose items you’re carrying when you fail gives it a roguelike structure.
